While most people are content with tradition, many couples are unsatisfied with the inherent design restrictions of a conventional engagement ring. In answer to their concerns I have created the ‘Cocktail Engagement Ring’.
An engagement ring can be seen as a temporary arrangement symbolising a union but ultimately being replaced by a wedding ring. At this point the engagement ring becomes a dress ring, so why not design it as a dress ring from the outset?
The Cocktail Engagement Ring is a ring of equal value to a traditional engagement ring, but can be comprised of a range of gemstones and various combinations of precious metals. After the wedding it is worn separately – even perhaps on the right hand. Matching earrings and pendants can be designed to compliment it and it becomes a piece of jewellery whose versatility truly reflects its worth.
